This blog is my response to The Joy Dare by Ann Voskamp, author of the book "One Thousand Gifts". Every day (hopefully) I will be recording three things that bring me joy, three gifts from God, three things that I am grateful for.
riches beyond belief. Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven." Matthew19:21
overflowing joy. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38
lasting fame. Jesus called them together and said, “...Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all." Mark 10:42-44
joy in service. Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. Romans 15:17
a revived heart. For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever,
whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the
one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15
God's delight. For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Psalm 149:4
the days of my life in God's book. My frame was not hidden from youwhen I was made in the secret place,when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed body;all the days ordained for me were written in your bookbefore one of them came to be. Psalm 139:15-16
