a gift given, made, sacrificed:
- time given to play Uno, a game which, as it turns out, needs no common language except laughter
- cake made to celebrate our last evening together before the move tomorrow
- fear sacrificed for joy as I realize reluctance to say goodbye has replaced hesitancy to say hello
